Read Luk 15:11-32 What happened?

First of all lets look at the word repentance in Hebrew the word Shuvh

It literally means  ”turn (back) to grace”. I mean firmly that this isn´t preached in evangelical churches. It’s a world wide difference between repent from sin (or what is rather implied STOP SINNING) VS turn to grace.

I belive that when we turn to grace sin loose its power. True biblical repentece is turning to grace and realising you cant do it yourself.

The greek word for repentence is metanoia means a change of mind.

Lets get into the parable:

The son turned away from the Father and went out into the world spending his money on alot of bad things even paid for prostitutes. This would be a man deep in his sins. And often when this story is preachd, the focus is that the son sinned in actions, but his ultimate sin was to say:

”I can do it my self, Father God I dont need you” This is what the bible calls selfrigtheousness.

As time went on the son lost all his money at the same time a famine swept the nation he was in and he was forced to watch swine. This is probaby the lowest job you could have in the context Jesus was telling this parable.

Many then says that the son felt guilty for his sins and repented, this is not in the text my friend. Lets read vers 17-18:

”And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee”

The son did repent, but not as we are use to hear the story…

Yes he repented, he turned away from his self-sufficiency and his own efforts as he realised he couldnt manage on his own. To son just tried to save his situation, he said ”I will say to my father…” this isnt why he did turned to his Fathers house.  His focus wasnt really that he sinned and needed to turn from his sins but rather that he couldent survive on his own.This is true biblical repentence.  This is  a position were Grace can meet you and transform you.

As he met the Father he wasnt able to say ”father I have sinned…” Why? Because the Father didnt care!! The only thing that matterd was that his son had come home. That his son NEEDED him!!

Lord Jesus said “repent and believe in the gospel” (Mark 1:15) This would imply a change of mind rather then a change of actions in first hand. It also implys turning TO something rather turning from something.

Brothers and sisters turn to Grace!!

One of my favorite things in life is to see other people take a step of faith-to reach further.

I love the look on a persons face the first time they lead someone to Christ, prayed with someone to healing, for the first time testified about their faith or preached among the unreached for the very first time. I have a friend that has done all the above except for the last thing….but his is about to!!

 My friend Jonas Päverinta is going on his first campaign in May. He will be going to Sri Lanka to preach the good news of Jesus Christ. Ive known Jonas for some time now and I really see a gift in his life. He has raised up an evangelistic outreach in his hometown Borås. He is the youthpastor of his church.

I have spent many days together with Jonas and one thing is sure, he is the real deal! He is a man of Grace and Faith! God also given him wisdom beyond his years! He has been a blessing to me and many others across Sweden.

Now its his time to go to the unreached peoples! Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria…THE ENDS OF THE EARTH!! 

Please pray for Jonas´ ministry and support him financially! Invite him to your church and see people get transformed!!

3 people in the group received Jesus for the first time! Woderful Romapeople!

In Sweden during some youthevents, by the grace of God I have seen atleast 60 young people have given their lifes to Christ. Probably many more. This is just the events I written down the decisions on paper or in the blog. 60 transformed lifes!! In Sweden. Many have also been baptised in the Holy Spirit. Chains of condemnation have been broken as the message of Grace has been preached!!

In 2009 we in Go Out Mission had 10 campaigns in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Guinea. Over 23.000 people have accepted Jesus during these campaigns.

During the three campaigns that I was leading in Pakistan and Bangladesh over 13.000 people accepted the Lord. The one in Dinajpur(Bangladesh) was probably the best campaignresult in the history of Bangladesh- 6346 registered decisioncards and many hundreds got healed. This is a real Victory for the Kingdom of Heaven! Tears that have run down many faces. Peace that have touched many lifes. Many hundreds have been healed and restored.

For this year we will have many more campaigns. In April me and Jonas (international director of Go Out Mission) will take our bibleschoolstudents to Guinea in west africa. This will be a first there for me- Im excited!!

Apart from that I will begin to lead a new start of a church in Skövde! This is really exciting days to live in!!

Tomorrow I will be teaching at the bibleschool on the subject “The message of Redemtion-the transforming power of His GRACE!”

Dear friends lets make 2010 the best year ever!! Look to Jesus and see with the eyes of Faith!! The best is yet to come!!

Jesus sees you!!

Preaching “Jesus sees you!!” (will be up on Vimeo tonight!)

I preached the first morningmeeting and saw over 30 teens responding to the altarcall for salvation. Many also got healed and set free. The message of Gods love really touched alot of people and Im so thankful to our Heavenly Father!!

Streetmission

We also were out talking to people about Jesus on the streets! I was responsible for the “Contact-team”. We were out late nights serving coffe, the and talked to people on the streets. We also had a “Cafébus” were we had conversations and talked to Jesus. Some of the nights the bus was packed with young people. Our team got to share the gospel to many!!

Missions seminar

I also had a seminar about missions to unreached people. It was a good time and some has contacted me and want to know more about missions and some want to join me for a trip!

It was the first time for me at the festival, but would gladly come again if I have the opportunity.

Leading people in the prayer of  salvation!!

Many people have accepted Jesus Christ during our days in Bangladesh yesterday 903 unique followupcards where collected. So far 3233 people have accepted Jesus during the previous four nights. Tonight many people responded as I proclaimed the cry of the Fathers heart- My sons and daughters when will you come home!! Tonight 1025 persons ran into the open arms of the father!! So in total 4258 people have accepted Jesus Christ in Fulbari!!

I will update withvideos will when I come back to Sweden on thuesday!!

Invitation for salvation day 3

The crowd today was over 5000 people.

In the first three days we have collected over 2300 unique followupcards.

Pray for the last meeting tomorrow, Iwill preach on the prodigal son! My favorite sermon.

Pray that many will run into the open arms of the Father!

This morning I got a wonderful report that 955 people had filled in decisioncards for Christ yesteday. 955 people that responded to Gods salvation. 955 beutiful bengalis that now have their names written in the book of Life.

Today at the leaderseminars I taught the leaders of their position as a new creation.

At the campaignmeeting over 3000people attended and my fellow evangelist Marcus Bloom was preaching, as he did the altarcall almost everyone went forward! I let you know the exact figure when I got the report of how many decisioncards that was filled in for tonight.

Many got healed of different sicknesses tonight about 50 people. Many testified about what Jesus has done. Below is “Pioneer Bibleschool”-student Anton with a woman that got healed.

Invited to a hospital to have a meeting!!

Friday after the campaignmeeting we will go to a hospital to have a mini campaign meeting we will preach the gospel and then pray for the sick. We got invited there and I just heard that one of their nurses went to our campaign in Dinajpur in October and got healed from a cancertumour!!

Tomorrow Anton will have a leaderseminar and Linnea will have a “warmup”(short sermon) at the campaignmeeting, I will be preaching. Its wonderful to see the students grow and take new steps.
